Coastal Louisiana’s
ports — and many others in the region and around the country
— face extensive environmental challenges. But the challenges
are not insurmountable, and Sea Grant’s university-based
program can assist in educating stakeholders and finding solutions.
Louisiana Sea Grant’s long-term goal is to conduct outreach
in the ports community, conduct applied research studies, organize
educational forums and produce publications.
