Corps to Host Coastal Restoration Town Hall Meetings

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is hosting a series of town hall meetings to provide an overview of coastal restoration projects and programs that are planned or underway in Louisiana.
Each meeting is scheduled to begin with an open house from 6 to 6:30 p.m.
A formal presentation by District Commander Colonel Alvin Lee begins at 6:30 p.m. and will be followed by a discussion period. The town hall meetings are an opportunity for citizens to learn about coastal restoration projects already in the works and ask questions about their status or future.
The meeting discussion will include content on:
- Beneficial Use of Dredged Material (BUDMAT)
- Coastal Wetlands Planning, Protection and Restoration Act programs (CWPPRA)
- Louisiana Coastal Area (LCA)
- Louisiana Coastal Protection and Restoration (LACPR)
- MRGO Ecosystem Restoration
