Oyster Convention to be Held March 20

The Louisiana Oyster Industry Convention will take place on Saturday, March 20, in Kenner at the Hilton-New Orleans Airport, 901 Airline Drive.
The preregistration deadline is March 10 and the cost is $50 per person. Registration includes seminars, a luncheon and cocktail party. Late registration of $100 can be paid at the door.
Author Robb Walsh will be the keynote speaker. His book, Sex, Death and Oysters: A Half-Shell Lovers World Tour will be the luncheon topic of discussion, and Walsh will be available for book signings. Other convention topics will include irradiation of oysters and high salinity exposure as post harvest treatments.
