Hurricane Preparedness & Recovery

The sections in this segment of the Web site offer general information from Sea Grant, universities, and state and federal agencies on how to prepare for a hurricane, as well as recovery essentials.

Emergency Preparedness Planning Materials:

Kits for Kids –Through fun games and activities your family can build an emergency supply kit that keeps everything you might need during an emergency in one place.

American Red Cross Emergency Preparedness Kits – Emergencies can strike at any time. These kits contain either one or three days of supplies for an adult, including water, food, radio, a flashlight, batteries and more.

Ready America: Get a Kit – When preparing for a possible emergency situation, it's best to think first about the basics of survival: fresh water, food, clean air and warmth.
