Louisiana Sea Grant Communications Internship
The Louisiana Sea Grant College program, based at Louisiana State University’s Baton Rouge campus, seeks a communication intern for the Fall 2021 semester. The intern will work a minimum of 15 hours per week – not to exceed 20 hours a week – for 16 weeks and be paid $10 per hour. Employment could begin this summer, with the internship beginning in the fall.
QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must be full-time, upper-level undergraduate students or full-time graduate students in good standing and preferably majoring in mass communications.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties will focus on developing written and visual content for print, websites and/or social media; as well as videos related to fisheries and coastal issues, this includes video editing and script development. Knowledge of fisheries issues is not necessary.
Louisiana Sea Grant is part of the National Sea Grant Program, a network of 34 university-based programs located in each of the coastal and Great Lakes states and Puerto Rico. Sea Grant programs work individually and in partnership to address major marine and coastal challenges.
