Education Coordinator
The Louisiana Sea Grant Education Coordinator will lead and coordinate K-12 education and teacher professional learning efforts for the Education & Engagement Unit. Working closely with other team members, departments and units, this role will develop place-based learning efforts, classroom engagements, teacher trainings, educational materials, and manage administrative support on community events and other Education & Engagement programming to address the Sea Grant priority of advancing environmental literacy and workforce development. This position requires organization, collaboration, and strong leadership to successfully launch and sustain existing and emerging programming.

Engagement Coordinator
The Louisiana Sea Grant Engagement Coordinator will lead and coordinate stewardship and public outreach efforts for the Education & Engagement Unit. Working closely with other departments and units, this role will be the primary contact leading Coastal Roots and other stewardship programs within the department. The Coordinator will manage these programs from school engagement to site coordination and program expansion. Additionally, the Coordinator will host teacher trainings, develop educational materials, and support the development of public outreach initiatives and other Education & Engagement programming to address the Sea Grant priority of advancing environmental literacy and workforce development. Assistant/Associate Extension Agent (Fisheries/Coastal Resources)
The primary area served by this position is St. Tammany and Tangipahoa parishes. This is a non-tenure track, agent level position (100% Extension) in the Marine Extension Project (MEP), a joint program of LSU AgCenter and Louisiana Sea Grant College Program. The (Assistant/Associate/Full) Area Agent position will have primary responsibility to plan, execute and evaluate a multidisciplinary educational program for residents, local officials, natural resource users, private landowners and coastal marine-related businesses in the two-parish region. The primary focus will be on strategies for sustainable economic development and management on the region’s commercial and recreational fisheries, wetlands, water, and other natural resources. Additionally, education programming focus will include community resilience related to domestic and international trade, environmental change, wetland loss, and storm surge threats.
